Micro data center solutions: a full data center at cabinet scale
A micro data center solution is not a small server rack with a UPS bolted on. It is a whole data center’s disciplines, power, cooling, fire suppression and monitoring, engineered into a single sealed enclosure that stands wherever IT lives without a room of its own.
Integrated, not assembled on site
The difference between a micro data center and a server closet is not size, it is discipline. FIBER OCEAN’s AquaCore I-Rack integrates UPS, cooling, racks, distribution, fire suppression and monitoring in one enclosure, tested before it ships, rather than assembled from separate boxes after delivery.
The same platform runs from the single-cabinet EC20 to the five-cabinet ER05 row build, so the discipline scales with the site instead of being re-engineered at each step.
Seven layers behind one door
Every numbered element is a FIBER OCEAN product line, integrated before the cabinet ships.
| Layer | What is deployed | Product line |
|---|---|---|
| 1. The cabinet | IP5X fully enclosed, closed cold / hot isolation, single-cabinet EC20 to five-cabinet ER05 | AquaCore Micro DC Series |
| 2. Rack UPS | 3–30 kVA, rack-mountable, 2N architecture, ultra-wide voltage input | UPS Systems |
| 3. Battery ride-through | 15 to 120 minutes, configurable to the site’s risk assessment | Batteries |
| 4. Close-coupled cooling | 3.5 up to 2×12.5 kW, ±0.5 °C, inverter compressors, dual EC fans, N+X | Rack-Mount Cooling |
| 5. White space | Up to 30U integrated; row builds add up to four 42U IT cabinets with smart PDUs | IT Racks & Smart PDU |
| 6. Fire suppression | Optional heptafluoropropane 1U gas suppression, Class C lightning protection | AquaCore Data Centers |
| 7. Monitoring | 10-inch HMI watching UPS, distribution, cooling, leakage, temperature-humidity, smoke and door | DCIM & Monitoring |
The specifications that decide fit
≤1.4 PUE
At cabinet scale, from 2N power architecture and N+X cooling redundancy engineered together, not bolted together.
±0.5 °C cooling accuracy
Close-coupled cooling with inverter compressors and dual EC fans in N+X, plus anti-condensation control at low load.
≤49 dB noise
Quiet enough to stand in an open office, not just a plant room, with closed cold / hot isolation inside the cabinet.
15–120 min ride-through
Battery backup configured to the site’s risk assessment, not fixed to whatever fits the shelf.
Wherever IT lives without a room of its own
The same cabinet, configured for the place it stands.
Branch & clinic
One integrated cabinet replaces the shelf of adapters behind the door, sealed, cooled, backed up and monitored.
Open office
At or under 49 dB with closed cold / hot isolation, the data center stands in the workspace itself.
Growing site
Start with a single cabinet; row builds carry up to four additional 42U IT cabinets on the same cooling and power spine.
Distributed estate
Hundreds of branches, one design, every cabinet’s touchscreen reporting to the same operating center.
Single cabinet, or a row that grows
The AquaCore I-Rack platform spans from a single sealed cabinet to a five-cabinet row on the same power and cooling spine, so the starting size does not lock in the ceiling.
Micro Data Centers
The AquaCore I-Rack: EC20 single cabinet to ER05 five-cabinet row.

What is included inside a FIBER OCEAN micro data center?
UPS, cooling, racks, distribution, fire suppression and monitoring, integrated and tested in one enclosure before delivery.
How much battery backup does a micro data center provide?
15 to 120 minutes of ride-through, configurable to the site’s risk assessment.
How quiet is a micro data center cabinet?
49 dB or quieter, low enough to stand in an open office.
Can a micro data center grow after installation?
Yes. Row builds carry up to four additional 42U IT cabinets on the same cooling and power spine, from the single-cabinet EC20 up to the five-cabinet ER05.
What PUE does a micro data center achieve?
Up to 1.4 PUE at cabinet scale, from 2N power architecture and N+X cooling redundancy engineered together.
